Life With Struggles
A man walking through the woods came across a butterfly halfway out of its shell. He watched this unique creature and noticed that the butterfly was struggling to emerge from the cocoon……….
In the beginning…. butterflies begin their lives as caterpillars, hatching from their eggs.
“There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it’s going to be a butterfly.”R. Buckminster Fuller
We often see the caterpillar as an insignificant stage in creating something spectacular. But this tiny creature possesses some incredible abilities; its sixteen legs propel it through even hostile terrain, never stopping them from its tireless search for food and sustenance.
From a fragile egg emerges bravery, strength, and determination. This little guy goes wherever he wants, using muscles he never knew he had—crawling forward with hope until they spread vibrant wings, ready to take flight into new possibilities!
“What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.”Richard Bach
When an obstacle arises, summon your strength and step ahead. Seize the moment, embrace change, learn what you don’t know, trust your instincts, and believe in yourself. Go for it. Your chance. Your transformation.
You are evolving, growing, and maturing and are on your way to your butterfly zone.
Remember the story of the man and the butterfly when you experience a struggle in life. Remind yourself that you are being strengthened, growing, and empowered and will emerge to the other side as a more robust and better person.
“When she transformed into a butterfly, the caterpillars spoke not of her beauty but her weirdness. They wanted her to change back into what she always had been. But she had wings….”Dean Jackson, Historian & Professor of American History
